hohoho chi minh

i guess it is not so bad to visit ho chi minh once in your life. for the sake of a stamp in your passport, n to appreciate wat u have now.

a friend of mine who live luxuries in kl told me, he would have kill himself if he'd ever live in kelantan for a year. but, i've been living there peacefully for 20 years n im still going back. until i stepped down in vietnam, i told my dad i'll kill myself if im forced to base in ho chi minh. seriously, no matter how worst kelantan can be, it is still 100 times better than vietnam. at least we dun have to die under massive electric shock or terrible traffic. like...

this !!

i cant stop my camera from snapping all those terrible electric cables when i first stepped in hcm. until the 2nd day im there, i then became neutral with the cables, coz IT IS EVERYWHERE.

the whole street are like that !

how if it is raining day ?

enuff with electric cables, now is the traffic. the main vehicle in hcm is bike. ho chi minh city itself have 10 million populations. and within the 10 million, they have 5 million bikes. all their cars are left hand drives and of course the roads and routes are opposite with us. u have to look 100 times left n right before u cross a streets. their bikes are everywhere, i think the total amount of bikes that i've seen in HCM for 5 days, is like the total amount that i'll see in the rest of my life at KL. im not good in cross road, and im even worst over there.

one of the tour guide told us, the ppl there only take 1 week to study for bike licence, and they need 6 weeks to study for car licence. seriously, there's not much cars over there, n ppl who drove a car, must be a filthy rich, very high traffic-tolerant level, and not a heart attack patient. the taxi driver also same ganas, one hand holding stering, another palm on the honk panel, drive n hon at the same time. my dad said the total amount of the hons that driver used is more than he (my dad) can use in his whole driving life.

bike n bicycle on the same lane with cars.

one thing i like about it, everywhere is nice helmets, and u will never see it in malaysia. coz they wear it juz for the sake of wear, it is not safe at all !!

deng

the main tourist street in hcmc in Pham Ngu Lao Street, it is also where i stayed for 5 days. been staying in a 2 star hotel called LeLe Hotel. not so bad after all, 20USD per nite and full facilities with aircond, ceiling fans, couch, satellite tv, fridge, water heater, n they even have balcony !

this is me n my sister's cribs

im neutral with the stars of hotel during travelling coz mainly we juz need a place to shower n sleep. and we wont be in the hotel for whole day long. and this gives me 80% satisfactory coz i first thought it would be those lame backapackers cribs as it is only 20usd per nite. means around 66+MYR.

Pham Ngu Lao street is mainly for tourist, so it is tour guide centre everywhere, i really meant everywhere. the only things that i prepared for this trip is air tickets and hotel reservations, we dint even book any trip in advance, and im glad i dint book any trip from KL tourist centre coz they charged really hell expensive. so we juz hop into any tourist centre there and we can get 1 day trip for 10usd maximum. depends on the place that u go.

on the 2nd day, we followed a 1 day city tour which cost 8usd per head, where they bring us to war remenants museum, reunification palace, thien hau pagoda, general post office and notre dame cathedral. the place where all tourist must visit. my dad damn like the war remenants museum coz it is airforce aircraft, choppers, and tanks everywhre!

the uncle in this pic is my daddy

on the 3rd day, we went to visit Cao Dai Temple and Cu Chi Tunnel where they charged 9usd per head. for me, cao dai is a confuse religious, coz it is a combination of tao-ism, buddisism, chritstians, muslims, hindu and catolics. means, it is confuse. then Cu Chi Tunnel is the place where vietnamese used to hide themselfe and their shelter during the vietnam war.

cu chi tunnel

my dad on top of the tank again.

nothing much about 4th day trip. it is 1 day mekong river trip which cost 10usd per head where they bring us to the countryside of vietnam. i took bus, boat, sampan, and horse car ride in a day. we dun really enjoy it coz they bring us to somewhere near the river then take boat and sampan n walk in jungle n eat fruits n etc etc. COZ WE ARE KELANTANESE. and im more to kampung kelantanses so all these things i've already experience when im young. 1 day mekong trip, for us is like 1 day kulim (wakaf bharu) trip.

during the sampan ride

we bought the triangle hat (sakak) for 1usd each. wear it for a day to act like vietnamese n now we transform the sakak to beatify our house, instead of throw it away.

ha ha ha

dats all about my ho chi minh trip. i dint do any shopping coz there's nothing to buy, seriously. i juz bought myself a pair of sandals. dats it. they are more to handicrafts things over there. neh, the 3 statue on top my television is from ho chi minh too.

overall, this trip is real enjoyable, i cant even remember when is the last time i travelled with my parent. they're not as young as i expect. i dint know that my dad is already 65 years old and my mom is already 53. they have been working really hard in their life to give me n siblings a good life. in this 5 days trips, i realize that they're already really old. and i feel so good to hang out in their hotel rooms after shower, n talk back about the trip of the day, eating snacks, listen to their story about vietnam war. and this is wat i couldn't find in my hectic working day.

thinking back how i fight with them during my rebellion time, and still they try their best to give me everything. im glad that im now awake, n not a pai ka lui. i may not be a good daughter in the past, but i'll try my best to be one in the future. perhaps i should say, thanks AirAsia for giving me such an opportunities, coz finally, i get to treat my parent a holiday trip, at the age of 21 :)

they're the biggest sponsors in my life. my parent
